1. Booking and Reservation
To reserve a skip, customers must provide accurate and complete information during the booking process. Reservations are subject to availability, and Ilford Skip Hire reserves the right to decline service requests that do not meet our criteria.
1.1. Booking Confirmation
Upon successful booking, a confirmation email will be sent to the provided address. It is the customer's responsibility to verify the details and notify Ilford Skip Hire of any discrepancies within 24 hours.
2. Payment Terms
All payments must be completed in full before or upon delivery of the skip. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers.
2.1. Pricing
Prices are based on the size of the skip, the duration of hire, and the type of waste being disposed of. Additional charges may apply for excessive weight or prohibited items.
3. Hire Period and Extensions
The standard hire period is agreed upon at the time of booking. Extensions can be requested, subject to availability, and may incur additional fees.
3.1. Overdue Skips
If the skip is not returned by the agreed-upon date, Ilford Skip Hire reserves the right to impose overdue charges. Continuous failure to return the skip may result in termination of services.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Customers may cancel their bookings up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery without incurring a cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours of delivery may be subject to a fee equivalent to 50% of the hire cost.
4.1. Refund Policy
Refunds are processed for cancellations meeting the above criteria. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method within 7-10 business days.
5. Delivery and Collection
Ilford Skip Hire ensures timely delivery and collection of skips. Customers must provide accurate delivery addresses and ensure that the access points are suitable for dropping off the skip.
5.1. Access Requirements
The drop-off location must be level, accessible, and clear of obstructions. Additional charges may apply for skips delivered to hard-to-reach areas.
6. Usage Guidelines
Customers are responsible for loading the skip safely and efficiently. Overfilling or improper loading may result in damage to the skip or surrounding property.
6.1. Weight Limits
Each skip has a specified weight limit. Exceeding this limit may incur additional fees and pose safety risks.
7. Prohibited Items
Certain items are strictly prohibited from being disposed of in skips. These include:
- Chemical substances
- Electrical appliances
- Hazardous waste
- Perishable goods
- Asbestos-containing materials
Ilford Skip Hire reserves the right to remove prohibited items without refund.
8. Liability and Insurance
Ilford Skip Hire is not liable for any damage to property or personal injury resulting from the use of our services, except where caused by our negligence. Customers are encouraged to have appropriate insurance coverage.
8.1. Insurance Coverage
While skips are insured against theft and damage, this does not cover the contents loaded by the customer. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the safety of their items.
9. Termination of Service
Ilford Skip Hire reserves the right to terminate services immediately under the following circumstances:
- Non-compliance with terms and conditions
- Engagement in illegal activities
- Excessive accumulation of prohibited items
Termination may result in penalties or further legal action.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ilford Skip Hire operates. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
